this is actually the 663/O/P, not the /P! It DOES have hdmi out which the photos don't show. I was just looking for the /P because I wanted the advanced functions. I guess I'd rather pay less and not have hdmi out since I have no need for it, but that's how it came and I'm not going to exchange it at this point.

The monitor itself is built well - the casing is metal. The screen has good resolution and colors, and is adjustable. I was able to calibrate it fairly well with a Spyder3 colorimeter and then further by comparing to my camera. Keep in mind that this monitor is very cheap for what you get and there are reasons for it. The UI isn't perfect, the buttons don't always respond on first click (not sure if this is a safety precaution?). It takes 5-6 seconds for it to show an image after signal is available. The battery adapters (I'm using Canon batteries) are a little too small so it's really hard to get the battery in there and take it back out.

However, these are all small nuisances and aren't deal breakers. The only problem I've found that I (so far) can't fix is this:
while the monitor is 1280x800, it doesnt seem to be possible to actually get a real 1:1 pixel image on there even though it has a 1:1 mode. What I mean here is this:
I hooked this up to a computer using a displayport to HDMI adapter. When I set the resolution of the monitor in windows to 1280x800, I get a resized sharpened picture (more on this later). No matter how I tweak the settings for overscan, 1:1 or input, i cannot get a true full resolution picture.
As far as using with a camera, I'm using a Nikon D7000 so it doesnt output a clean HDMI signal to begin with. It's usable and has been great on a couple recent shoots.
My other grip is the sharpening. I don't want my picture sharpened! It's a very obvious artifact and I don't see a way to get rid of it. There is obvious digital sharpening happening here - like if you were to apply too much unsharp mask in Photoshop. While it helps with focusing occasionally, it really destroys the ability to accurately see the picture. Lighting becomes more difficult as well since contrast gets a lot more pronounced.

The monitor comes with an AC adapter, a decent case (that smells like glue initially), sun shade and a fairly crappy mini-ballhead. It will work in a pinch, but I wouldn't trust it for long. The cable that connects between the monitor and the AC adapter is a really weird sort of mess. There are bare wires hanging out for a tally light and an extra DIN plug - i'm assuming for chaining devices or something. I wish I could just plug the AC adapter directly in and not have to mess with these weird cables. I may end up just making my own adapter actually.

If anyone is interested, I can post which settings I used to get colors to render more accurately but I"m assuming it varies from one device to another.

Overall, this monitor is a good value. Similar offerings from big brands cost 3x-4x as much.

UPDATE:
Forgot to mention that on an LP-E6 battery (i have the 2600mah variety Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Canon LP-E6 and Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 6D, EOS 7D, EOS 60D, EOS 60Da), the monitor lasts about 1 hour.
