This is a beautiful laptop, but it weighs a ton. I got mine with the 2nd battery and the dock, so the total must be about 10 lbs. It came with 64 bit Windows 7 pre-installed, so you need 64 bit drivers and software. Not sure why they did that as it only has 2 GB of RAM, not enough to really take advantage of the 64 bit superior memory handling. It takes a long time to boot up, but once there it is pretty snappy. The hard drive is only 60 GB, despite the product description, which means that I am putting a lot of stuff on flash drives and USB sticks. The only restore media is on a hidden partition on the Hard Disk, so you can't upgrade the HDD without buying or creating an external restore media. The display is beautiful, and DVD's look great. It has a quasi tablet function (the screen flips around to a vertical position) which requires an HP e-pen (not included). It looks like there is a secondary market in these e-pens (for $50) , which is why everyone is taking them off the laptops before re-selling them.
All in all, if you are an experienced PC user, and can work around it's limitations, this is a great laptop, especially for the price.
