Tempo X4P PCI-X Controller 4 Ext Ports SATA II Port Multiplier Review

This isn't a fast card by any means but it is great! I have been using it for almost a year now and it has performed very well. I have 13 500GB drives and 5 1TB drives running off of it. The 13 drive array is storing backup to disk and is backing up around 1.3 GB/s with software compression.

The draw backs are that it doesn't have any on board memory so if there is a hard power off it needs to recheck the array and you may have lost what was being written to it for that moment. Again this isn't an issue for us because this is not in our production servers this is for backup and I am completely satisfied with its through put on a IBM x365 server. It worked so well I am doing something similar for my other offices for their near line storage.
