I got this camera because I have a headset with a microphone and just needed to add video to Skype my friends. It has a clip on the back that opens just wide enough to hook onto my laptop, and the retractable cord stays extended until you tug on it to release. I plug it in and I can use it for Skype or Yahoo IM; presumably, it will work for other video chat programs as well. Even though it seems all plastic, everything (clip, retractible cord, and electronics) is holding up very well months later.

It DOES have a camera, mounting clip, and USB plug. These features work great!

It does NOT have a light, microphone, or installation software. I do not miss them.

I just bought a second one for a friend to replace his old, very grainy Logitech webcam. For the price, you really can't beat this little camera!
