This is not a super-high resolution camera, although it takes fine pictures, but it's high-speed capture mode works like a charm. The need for higher levels of light is inherent to hi-speed filming so even videographers working with the most state of the art models will necessarily experience this drawback. If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the multi-thousand dollar hi-speed cameras this is a great choice. If you want a super-high resolution camera, obviously this product isn't what you're looking for.
