Detail:
I wanted to create a low profile computer to use as an everyday "kitchen" computer. The front brushed aluminum cover is beautiful and pairs well with the Apple bluetooth keyboard (if you want to go that route). I liked the fact the motherboard standoffs were preinstalled and the stock fan was quiet. It also accepts a double width graphics card (although good luck in powering one with only a 300W power supply)

Construction: metal sides are flimsy. Aluminum face plate attahces to a plastic snap-in bracket. My platic bracket had a broken tab upon arrival. I contacted Silverstone for a replacement and they asked if I could send them a picture of the damage, which I did. No response since then. It did come with mounting for a 3.5" or 2.5" HD which was convenient. The slim slot for the CD/DVD may pose a problem just because there are not too many on the market but I did find a Blue Ray player that fit. And the case did not include a cover for the CD/DVD other than a blanking plate so if you put one in the case you'll have a black tray face mucking up an otherwise beautiful aluminum case front.

As with most ITX enclosures there is not a lot of space inside the box. I bought a Gigabyte ITX motherboard and installed an I5-2400 processor with stock cooling. Initially I was going to run the onboard graphics but decided to go with a NVIDIA 7800GTX I had laying around. Almost immediately I started having heating issues and the CPU shut down on thermal overload. The stock case fan only pushes ~55CFM and with the graphics card installed most of the left side venting is blocked. This problem would exist with any MB that fit this case since the slots for the expansion are on the left side of the enclosure.

To solve the heating issue I purchased a low profile CPU cooler (Scythe SCKZT-1000 Kozuti)and a 75CFM 100mm case fan (blue LED. Really cool to see the color through the vents while the computer is on). The fan was a simple replacement. The CPU cooler would not fit with the graphics card installed due to the heat sink on the non-fan side of the graphics card. Time and reason for a graphics card upgrade! I purchased a HD 6670 but even that card, while it requires no power connector, does require 400W minimum power supply as most non-entry level cards will. Silverstone does sell a 450w power supply that fits the case (amazing feat!) so I upgraded to that power supply. Even with the smooth non-fan side HD6670, the CPU cooler was a !@#$ tight fit, resting against the memory slot and the video card. I also zip-tied the cables to provide as much unobstructed flow as possible.
No heating issues now, even with the fan on its lowest setting.
