I've never used a Samsung laptop but had no preconceived notions about the Samsung. I've used IBM/Lenovos, Dells, Sonys, Acers, Toshibas, Gateways - you name it and used most of the non-Apple laptops over the last 20 years in IT. I'm not going into which one I like best, but I can say definitively that this Samsung has the worst track pad & keyboard that I've ever used. As much as I tried, I've had to disable the track pad in order to use the keyboard and carry a wireless mouse with me at all times - WTF! What's the point of having a laptop if I can't use the track pad/keyboard at the same time on the road? I've seen other Samsungs which don't have as much of an issue with the track pad, but almost all users of Samsungs have some complaint about the track pad, keyboard or both. The internal specs are decent with a i5 i5-480M / 2.66 GHz CPU, 4GB RAM (expandable to 8GB), but a below average Hard Drive (320 GB) and poor-to-mid battery life make this a laptop I would not recommend to others. In a crowded and intensely competitive mid-range laptop space, I can't see how the Samsung line will survive if it can't even master the most basic of laptop features (keyboard/track pad).

Pros: The scanner is wonderful. The surprise was that the auto-document feeder does not flip the page to scan both sides. The scanner has a second scan bar in the feeder to simultaniously scan both sides on one pass. Fast. Software is not half bad.
Cons: The scanner is BIG! But what do you expect for being able to hold 100 sheets in the tray. Does not directly interface to a network. Scanner must be connected to a PC vis USB.

I purchased this several months ago to replace my aging EVGA 8800s. It was part of an overall upgrade to my rig and probably my favorite component. I was only slightly concerned that I had been using EVGA and liked the brand but wasn't familiar with Zotac. I can keep this short and sweet and say this card is blazing fast. I have new games maxed out on graphics and it maintains a high FPS. I am purchasing another one of these to SLI them together in anticipation of Battlefield 3.

I'll also happily recommend Zotac as a brand.. I'm very happy with this card and the tools that come to control it. I don't tweak anything further but the GUI provided is very easy to use and monitors temperatures if you're one of the tweaking types. I'm running at around 70 degrees fully maxed out at the moment. Be aware that I also have an Antec 1200 case which includes 7 fans. I strongly suggest a cool case. In addition to this I'm using an 850W power supply by Corsair and recommend a high-end power supply to be used here.

Best bang for buck laptop out there, I contemplating this and the ENVY 15 for weeks and I deciding to go for it. Awesome laptop, not going to find a i7 laptop with 750GB and features like this anywhere else. Excellent battery management and beats sound system is a bonus. The slick brushed steel gray front is very nice, as the black aswell. I wanted the slot loading cd drive like the ENVY but I couldnt justify the $500 difference in models. Also it seems that every laptop comes with a bunch of Crapware nowadays, but once you remove everything it's good. Don't hesitate, buy it.
