HP H0E31AT Smart Client - VIA Nano U3500 1 GHz H0E31AT#ABA 797H0E31AT Smart Client - VIA Nano U3500 1 GHz Review
This 'zero client' has no hard drive, only a flash drive for its limited OS. Works with RDP (Microsoft), XenApp/XenDesktop (Citrix receiver), and VMWare View.It has one DVI-I (analog) and one DVI-D (digital) video output, independent. You can set the display ports to be left, right, mirrored, above, below. Has two USB ports on the front, one mic and one speaker out on the front. Two (?) usb ports on the back, ethernet port. Parallel port, serial port.
With XenDesktop, be prepared; many of these I have ordered are shipped with old copies of Citrix Receiver as well as Adobe Flash. Support is just this side of horrible without a paid contract. What I've found, for Citrix, is that if all the T5565z clients are within a point release, you can set up the smart client service on a server, within your lan, and the default settings of your T5565z will automatically search within your subnet for the updated flash and settings on this smart client service (server installed program, modified by you) and the updates for lan-attached clients, within the same subnet, are quick.
If you're outside of the subnet for that smart client server, you have to manually (with users on the phone or by yourself) set up the configuration on the terminal to look for the update on the master server. A bit of a pain with frustrated or low-information users. It does work, but you do have to test it out yourself and get it going.
However, if your T5565z is much further out on the relase version, the automatic (and manually edited server info) will not update the client. In those cases my best success has been to get a bootable version of the new flash on a thumb drive, restart the T5565z with this, and update the client. The update from thumb drive is fairly automatic - you do have to type "YES", I believe, in order for the udpate to complete. It's all CLI so most users are not good candidates for this operation.
Here is the HP website for the updates:

I'll leave you to it to find out how to set up the Smart Client Service and push the update to a flash drive; I did figure it out by reading the documentation.
The best update I've found is near the top of this page: the Smart Zero Core Image:
[...]
For those clients that do not update over the wire this has been my best option.
I have used, without much trouble, Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500, S1000, S300 scanners with this client. Most USB printers install automatically through without much trouble through XenDesktop. Most any monitor with the right cabling works, most mouse and keyboards work as well. Have not used webcams with this. Speakers should be powered; I don't think the mini-stereo (headphone type plug) attachment on the front doesn't drive any non-powered speaker I've tried.
