I was looking for a good value monitor (read: inexpensive) for the office (not my own business). I had heard of this brand before, but didn't know its reputation.

I read several reviews on several sites about Hannspree monitors, generally, and about this monitor specifically. Everything I read (except for the very few, seemingly obligatory, reviews about any product that say it's the worst piece of electronics ever sold no matter how many other glowing reviews there are) indicated that the monitor was good equipment and that people were happy with their purchases.

I got my for $130.99 with no shipping cost through an Amazon affiliated seller, so it was a good price. The monitor was very plug and play. It has a great, bright picture, and no dead pixels. The only complaint is that the speakers, in my particular monitor, at least, give very tinny sound. Fortunately I rarely need speakers, and these allowed me to clear room on my desk by getting rid of my stand-alone speakers.

Since I don't care about the speakers, and I was looking for the increasingly rare normal aspect ratio monitor (the monitor is used primarily for word processing), I am very happy with the purchase (and it is gloriously better than the 7 or 8 year old 17" CRT monitor that it replaced).

The biggest beef I normally have with cabling is the depth of color. This wire is decently colored and you can distinguish the half-white from the solids. It's hard to find it in yellow, so a nice find!

Black Comfort Keyboard USB Review

This keyboard is the best for eliminating pain.

I have been using Comfort Keyboards since about 1993. At that time (after 15 years of typing) I was disabled by typing related RSI to the point where it was a painful to hold a piece of paper between my fingers and thumb. I could only type for a few seconds before it was painful and holding a mouse was impossible. I went through the whole treatment cycle, PT, anti-inflammatories, injections, and surgery. Nothing helped, I was classified as permanently partly disabled by the state of California. My surgeon did not expect me to ever recover the ability to type beyond "two fingers." I tried using various "bent but flat or mostly flat" keyboards but they didn't do it for me. I started using a Comfort Keyboard, articulated arm supports and low mass trackballs at that point and gradually recovered my typing skills. It is still painful for me to type on a normal keyboard after a short period of time, but I can type all day on any of my Comfort Keyboards without any pain. I have been typing pretty much everyday for another 15 years now and expect to continue for at least another 15. I don't type slowly either. I even participate in computer programming contests where typing speed is important.

I have used many different Comfort Keyboards on many PCs, Macs, Suns, and SGIs over the years and have been completely happy with every one. Between work and home I currently have four Comfort Keyboards in active use (one Ergo-magic, and three classic Comfort Keyboards with the metal rail bases). I will buy more if I need to use a computer in more locations. It is a superlative product, superior to anything else I have seen (Although I like the white ones better than the black ones).

Although it looks intimidating, it was very easy for me to transfer my previously learned typing skills to this split and articulated setup. The key arrangement is the same as a "normal" keyboard, just way more comfortable. It does sit higher than an ordinary keyboard, so I highly recommend using some sort of armrest to keep your arms, wrists and hands in a relaxed, neutral position.

This motherboard is actually listed with typos. It's a DDR3 2133+ motherboard. I Confirmed this with newegg.com's listing, which shows this correction. This board is magnificent. Great for the enthusiast gamer and overclocker. The bios interface is UEFI. It's very nice and advanced!!! Though it has the p67 chipset, it does not lack in performance! Great baord for sandy bridge builders! Note: keep ram at around 1600mhz for gaming and ram volts set to 1.5v, as this is best for sandy bridge cpus. It has good cool master hyper 212+ clearance with ram!

D-Link DCS-930L IP Camera mydlink Cloud Wireless N300-Express Shipping Review

The automated set-up worked very well with my Linksys E3000 Router. I was quickly able to set it up to show video anywhere in my house, over the internet, and even on my Android phone, using the Dlink App.

It is easy to configure the camera to send e-mails at set times or via motion activation. It is also easy to have to camera send its data to an FTP site.

The range and video quality are both very good. The automated software and the mydlink website make it all simple to use. The camera stays connected to the network, and never stops broadcasting.

The only task that isn't very easy to set up, is having the video go to a local hard drive. There isn't a quick and easy way to utilize this feature, though having it save a stream of pictures to a local or remote FTP site is very simple and reliable.

Overall, I would recommend this camera. Everything you would want a wireless camera for is very simple to set up. I am a complete novice with this setting network devices up, and had no problem.

I am still very happy with this camera. Since my initial review, I have continued to have very good experiences with it. Here are some more observations:
- It reconnects to the network within 20 seconds, if you unplug it and move it to a new spot.

- Though it works great over Android, they keep updating the software to make it more and more reliable. The camera always stayed connected to the net, but the phone would sometimes lose the connection. That is no longer a problem.

- Also works on iOS products.

- I have played with the Motion Detections settings in conjunction with FTP quite a bit recently. The camera is working great, and is highly adjustable in this regard, but the FTP service on my Linksys E3000 was giving me problems. Initially, I thought the camera wasn't working properly, or wasn't adjusting to my settings, but when I switched the FTP to an external site from my router, it is working fine. Either my E3000 isn't working right, or something with my network settings was causing it to intermittently disconnect. Either way, it isn't the camera's fault, because it is now working fine, connected to a remote FTP site. That is better than having it store the images in the house anyway.

This camera continues to perform very well and gives us a lot of peace of mind. There is occasional crime in our neighborhood, but an alarm system never seemed worth the expense. This camera coupled with our off-site FTP storage gives us confidence that we'd at least be able to give the police a photograph of anyone who commits a crime on our property or in our home.
