This case is great, but I never attached the clip, so I can't comment on the clip. I don't remember what I paid, but it's worth 5 to $10. I am able to text while this is in the case. In my old case, I couldn't touch the screen up close to the edges. This one has enough room around the margins for easier texting. This case has protected the phone through at least 3 drops on concrete plus a couple on hard floors. So far, so good.
